Rapid Reset Strategy #6 – Gratitude and Inner Peace

First Covid-19, then the economy buckling, then the heinous death of George Floyd and the combination of peaceful and violent protests the past several weeks.  Our nervous systems and emotions are being stretched like Gumby.  (Who remembers the green stretchy Gumby?)  Hope, hopelessness, fear, courage, anger, love, sadness, rage, empathy and compassion have swept through me these past weeks.  My heart hurts for so many.   How about you?

It’s a lot to reflect on.  I’m hopeful our world finds a way to come together and love each other.  It’s so simple, yet so complex.  It’s a lot to be with.

At home, we wrapped up “distance learning” with the kiddos, and last week, summer camps re-opened after our 3 months of staying at home.  It was a whirlwind last week jostling a balance of camps and home-time… making travel plans, then nixing them.  We’re all still feeling out this “new normal.”   This week, my daughter is in “gymnastics camp” and my son is doing a virtual “Chess/Magic/Lego/Origami Camp.”  When routines change, it’s often unsettling, and simultaneously exciting.

Regardless of what is adding to overwhelm, throwing off your sense of well-being or out right upsetting you… today’s Rapid Reset Strategy can reground you and help you find your center.  It is simple and effective, as long as you’re willing to play full out.  And I hope you are!
