One Very Smart Penguin

August 27th, 2010

This amazing video shows a tiny little penguin who is being chased by a pod of killer whales. He was to be lunch for one of them. But nearby, there’s a boat of people watching and filming all of this, and… well, penguins don’t fear humans, so watch what the little guy does.

Over 59 Million people have seen this video…have you? Just spoke with three colleagues who hadn’t! It warms my heart every time I see it…ENJOY!

Five weeks ago, John and I were in Times Square in New York City for my Awakening Beyond Achievement event — and a big smile came across my face when I saw these young boys continuing the legacy. Here’s a short video of them!

Inner Peace and Oprah Auditions

July 2nd, 2010

Your OWN Show is a new reality TV show where “contestants” compete for the opportunity to host their OWN Talk Show. 9504 people auditioned by submitting a 3 minute video online. Thousands more auditioned in person…including me.  Of course, having your OWN TV Show is one of those “dream jobs,” isn’t it? You’re only on stage for ONE hour a day. Easy, right? Everyone LOVES you. And, you get to interview celebrities and interesting folks — being the glue tying it all together. It’s a powerful vehicle for inspiring people and affecting change…maybe even about Everyday Inner Peace! (That’s right up my alley!)

Given my minimal prep time — I desperately needed the time to craft and polish the “perfect pitch.” I must have printed it out 15 different times — as I tweaked it again and again.

Here’s a little video right before I dashed off for my audition. (You can’t tell so much here, but I was SUPER nervous!)

The time came…and our group entered Billy’s tent. One by one, each candidate stood and delivered a 30+ second pitch…and sat down. Clapping after each person. We were in the tent maybe 25 minutes.

And, that was that.

Here’s the video I shot right after I got home…

Inner Peace, Zen and the Art of Moving

June 18th, 2010

First off, before I move…I set an intention of having “the most effortless, flowing, stress-free move I’ve ever experienced”. I imagine everything coming together neatly into boxes, things moving quickly, nothing getting damaged…..and most importantly ME EXPERIENCING PEACE throughout the day.

There are ALWAYS THINGS WE CANNOT PREDICT OR CONTROL in the outside world — however, we CAN INFLUENCE our INNER BEING. And, when we do, we always ultimately access peace and joy. There are several
overriding beliefs that I believe allow me to have the experiences that I do during a move. Also, they are very useful beliefs to live life by.

  1. It will all get handled…ultimately. It might look a little messy and disheartening in the middle of it, but I WILL get from Point A to Point B. There is “always a way” when one is committed.
  2. I am at peace, as long as I DON’T resist “WHAT IS”. “Accepting what is” is one of the most useful principles to live by. The cranky lady at the U-Haul office is just being herself. I can think “she shouldn’t be this way”, OR have compassion for her, and chuckle instead. RESISTANCE is the ONLY factor that creates STRESS. It’s never the cranky lady at U-Haul…or whatever you think is creating stress in your life. It’s ONLY our reactions and resistance to “reality” or “what is”.
  3. All is well. With this belief, I know I can experience PEACE in any moment. When we embody “all is well” to our core…nothing in the outside world can rock the center of your soul. Unless someone has a knife at my throat, or I’m threatened physically…..I am fine, really.

So, what’s it REALLY like to be “present with” a MOVE?

200 Flash Dancers…Cool Video

June 17th, 2010

One of my Facebook friends posted this video on my wall. I’m glad she did. Several times I found chills tingling throughout my body…and the end is too moving for words. Kim MacGregor organized this flash mob of 200 dancers to launch the “feel good” movement, “I Believe She’s Amazing” in honor of her friend Erika Heller who passed away May 28th, 2009 at 31 years young…this is her living legacy.

Inner Peace and Awakening – The Awakening Beyond Achievement Tour

June 7th, 2010

You know the saying…”what happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas.”

Well, what happens in NYC, is NOT staying in NYC. And that’s a good thing for you!  (You have Batman to thank.)

You see, after leading the Awakening Beyond Achievement event in NYC, we were innocently walking in Times Square…when, out of the blue, a masked man swept me off my feet (right after we filmed a short video for you! SEE BELOW.)

Batman knows…time is of the essence.

A new set of challenges is testing the growing population of conscious achievers.

Are you one of them?

For thousands of years, the only way to experience awakening was to isolate in a Buddhist monastery or Ashram, retreat from the material world and spend countless hours meditating, chanting and attend Satsang.

But in the last 20 years, something has shifted…
