I would have enjoyed listening to you better if not for the distraction of the noise in the background. It sounded like children yelling and playing in a pool. I love that sound but not when I am wanting to listen to you speak. I am just getting to know about you and what you have to offer to assist me in doing what I can to have more inner peace. Thanks for what you are putting out there.

    Leona,

Yes…one of the most challenging aspects of filming in beautiful and public settings is that most people don’t notice they are adding “noise” to our video.

The noise in this video is a lot like the noise in life. It’s challenging to focus intently on what we want to focus on…especially when there are distractions in our lives.

However, life doesn’t mute out the distractions, and so we must learn to master our ability to be present. Whether we’re listening to a video like the one above, focusing on a work project or wanting to connect with a significant other — this “presence” is essential.

As we focus intently on the words…I find the background noise disappears. I invite you to explore this practice in your own life.

My videos may also offer a good practice playground.

    Mary
